7TH NEMESIS – Self-Titled

Resurrected from Sarganas and Inward Mind comes a promising five-piece band 7th Nemesis, the new pride of French metal underground. On its way of releasing debut full-length, the band managed to put out 3-track Promotional CD in order to get preliminary feedback on their musical production. Basically, 7th Nemesis plays Death Metal in the purest way, fast and furious as it should be and also integrated with few Black Metal touches and even some early Heavy Metal influences. From every aspect, Death Metal brutality reigns supreme in their musical approaches. All three songs are superbly composed and tightly played. Intelligent song arrangements with appearances of powerful and catchy guitar riffages, violently drum blasts, and well organized vocal parts. There are several different techniques of vocals, vary from the guttural growling to the insane screeching and always fit right the music itself. Talking about the sound production, it’s professionally done and at its top-notch quality level. The future of 7th Nemesis seems really bright. This Promo CD is absolutely the great sign of their upcoming "Violentia Imperatrix Mundi" first album. Wait for another mind-blowing release from this awesome metal musicians!

KERAMAT – Promo 2001

Keramat is a brutal death/grind band from Indonesia formed in 1994 and has released their debut MC "Approximately Death" in 1997. Somewhere in late 2001, the band recorded this promo material including advance tracks for their nextcoming album entitled "Vomiting Hatred". Expect pure guttural sickness from Keramat. This band mixed Deathmetal and Grindcore wisely, in the vein of American bands such as Disgorge, Devourment or Lividity. All songs are well executed incorporates technical guitar riffs along with just pure brutal instinct! Keramat is one of the most interesting extreme metal bands from the Indonesian country that I've heard in a while. They seem to be a band with lots of potential that could grow to become something special.

KULT OV AZAZEL – Oculus Infernum

Who says that Americans can't play Black Metal? Kult ov Azazel blazes a true path of Black Metal that will shut up all of the elitists who believe that only Scandinavians can create Black Metal art. And after hearing this you will believe too. Hearing Kult ov Azazel is really a tremendous torture… in a good sense. "Oculus Infernum" is really a wicked Black Metal album not for everyone, especially for the Gothic Black Metal fans who are into those who mix keyboards and symphonic stuffs. The second full-length from this Florida-based band has definitely left me with my mouth open with astonishment!! Kult ov Azazel has created a ripping masterpiece that is fitting the standards of the genre perfectly yet offering this little extra to their style that makes them a notch over the others. Aggressive, fast, nasty… "Oculus Infernum" possesses everything a contemporaneous Black Metal fan should like and even more. This album exhibits 8 diabolic hymns, hateful blasphemic Black Metal - brutality and vitality can define their music more precisely. Incredibly rapid-fire drum-blasting and skull-shredding guitar riffs are executed with murderous professionalism and skill …pure terror, fucking holocaust, thunderous assault. Extremely insane creation of high quality… an extra point is added for the scorching, spiteful and devilish howls. What really strikes me is the way Kult ov Azazel can play so damn fast without sounding noisy or cluttered. And not a note is lost due to the excellent but raw as hell production. "Oculus Infernum" is a masterpiece of pure darkness and any fan of Black Metal would find what to like on this slab of pure evil.

INHUMATE – Growth

"Growth" CD 2001 is the third full-length effort from Inhumate, a follow-up of "Internal Life" (1997) and "Ex-Pulsion" which I haven't got the opportunity to listen to. It's difficult to make comparisons or to recognize any musical progression made on this album. Well, it's not a matter to skip from reviewing "Growth", even without making comparison I can easily find that "Growth" is truly awesome Death-Grind release. This CD  compiles 17 tracks that are fucking intense, heavy, not really technical but simply mind-blowing death grinding to the core attacks. Inhumate managed to integrated both extreme music genre successfully. Perhaps there are less part of deathmetal as compared to the full swing of grindcore assault, by the way, the mixture resulted in an excellent production of extreme music. Independently released, "Growth" is really recommended for every underground death/grind fanatics. This is the right time to escape from Napalm Death clones!

DEMONLORD – Unsacred Soul

Debut demo tape from Spanish act, Demonlord."Unsacred Soul" delivers 6 extremely majestic tracks of aggressive Black-Death metal, including a cover version of At The Gates´s "Under a serpent sun".Great music I must say.Tight and well composed with lots of interesting parts. The guitarrist makes some cool riffs wich I would like to hear more of in the future. The vocals is also doing a good job creating a style that is unique and also a little standard some places. What makes me feel a little annoyed about Demonlord is the cover song wich is not really satisfying for me, it would be much better to include original track of their own I think. All in all I am really fond of this demo, they have captured the true essence of darkness and put it on tape with such a brilliant result. A demo well-worth owning!!!

OUT SOON – Ninth Issue of NATHIAS FANZINE

The 10-year long delayed Nathias #9 will out soon! Here’s the editorial I wrote for it: Finally. The dreams came true. The long delayed Nathias Fanzine issue #9 is out, at last. It should be unleashed somewhere within 2003 - 2005 but after few attempts to release it, the plans were alwyas failed. It’s a decade of waiting right? 10 years have been passed by thus this issue contains so many outdated and invalid informations etc. Most of them were prepared and written just after I put out Nathias #8 in April 2001. In the middle of 2002 I relocated to Kelantan thus resulted the uncertain future of this fanzine and found a hard time to finish everything. Due to that, I started and operate an internet-based media Aesthetic Extremity webzine (RIP 2002 - 2005/2006). Most of the materials (interviews, reviews, etc) were then published online through the webzine with helps and contributions from many friends around the world. Thanxxx to all of them which names mentioned in each interview and review they made. Well, this most postponed issue ever meant for “collective item”. Nothing is new here but good enough for you to know what were happened around 2001 - 2005. I love broken english. Hail the Aesthetics of Pure Extremity! – 30 September 2015.
